Masks are mandatory for Grades 4 to 12 students. Face shields are optional but are not to replace the wearing of face masks as the nose, mouth and chin must be covered. Face shields protect the wearer from respiratory droplets but do not protect those around them and must be worn with a mask.
Synchronous learning is referring to the classroom teacher being engaged with the students as the learning unfolds. Synchronous support refers to the role that a second teacher, assigned to the class, will provide as they engage with the students to help answer questions and provide assistance.
Preparation for and reception of the Sacraments occurs within the parish. Some parishes have recently resumed registration for the Sacraments and have started planning fall celebrations for Confirmandi and First Communicants. In these cases, parents have been invited to registration sessions. Parents who have questions about this should be directed to contact their local parish.

Flushing the building refers to starting the ventilation air 2 hours prior to the entry by occupants and continuing to run the ventilation 2 hour after occupancy.
