Dear Families, Students and Staff of the York Catholic District School Board,
On behalf of the entire York Catholic District School Board, we wish you a very happy and relaxing Thanksgiving.
As the families of the YCDSB gather around their tables this Thanksgiving, enjoying family favourites from around the world, we hope you will be able to find some time to reflect on the blessings that God has bestowed. Please know that we will reflect on the joys of being part of this amazing Catholic school community that offers so much to others through our collective love, dedication and sacrifice.
On this Thanksgiving, in particular, we are mindful that many families are struggling to make ends meet. St. Gianna Beretta Molla dedicated much of her life to helping those in need by offering her medical expertise and by supporting the St. Vincent de Paul Society. We are thankful that the YCDSB community once again followed St. Gianna’s example by generously supporting our school-based Thanksgiving food drives. The YCDSB continues to be one of the largest supporters of ShareLife and we are grateful for those who have contributed to its new Food Security Grants program.
Thank you to all the York Catholic families, students and staff who are a Christ-like example of loving one’s neighbours throughout the year.
All of us at the YCDSB are thankful for the opportunity to see children learn and grow, as we share fellowship with the many amazing people of the York Region. Please know that everything you do for the YCDSB is noticed and deeply appreciated. On this Thanksgiving, we are thankful for you.
