Legislative Pages SJM

Congratulations to the St. Justin Martyr CES students who were Legislative Pages at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in Toronto during the 42nd Parliament.  These young students served our Members of Provincial Parliament with maturity and pride, and we are incredibly proud of them.

During their term of duty as Legislative Pages, they acted as messengers on the floor of the Legislative Chamber, met key parliamentary figures, and learned about Ontario’s parliamentary system of government.  Their term of duty ranged from one to six weeks, depending on the parliamentary session.  Each student earned their spot in the program by submitting an essay outlining their achievements, school and community involvement, and suitability for the program.  Once selected, they studied and learned the faces, names, and seating locations of the 124 Members of Provincial Parliament before arriving at Queen’s Park for their first day.  Being a Legislative Page was an exhilarating and rewarding experience for Graden L., Hayden L., Stanley Z., and Alexander C.

The St.Justin Martyrs CES community and the YCDSB recognize your hard work and dedication and congratulate you on your successful term serving the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.
