ArcGIS Online (Gr. 1-12)
ArcGIS offers a variety of tools that empower staff and students to connect people, locations, and data using interactive maps. The GIS mapping software enables educators and students to create maps, share maps, and collaborate on maps. Further, the tool allows for the creation, collection and analysis of data in subjects such as Geography, History, Social Studies, Science, and more.
Once on the ArcGIS website, click the ‘Sign In’ button on the top right. Then click the ‘YCDSB’ blue button. At this point, Teachers and Students login using their Single Sign-On credentials.
Archives of Ontario
The Archives of Ontario has a section on their website called “Exhibits”. This section explores a number of topics relevant to Ontario, Canadian History, and North American History.
