Tim Horton’s Smile Campaign Helps YCDSB Students

From November 13-19, Tim Horton’s locations in Richmond Hill and Vaughan will be selling Smile Cookies and half of the proceeds will go to York Region Food for Learning, which helps many York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) students.

Children cannot learn when they are hungry, so York Region Food for Learning provides funding, nutrition training and logistical support for schools where there are students who could use a helping hand.

Dozens of YCDSB schools offer various food programs with the assistance of York Region Food for Learning. In all, 270 schools in York Region offer nutritious breakfasts and snacks with the help of York Region Food for Learning.

Over the next week, you may see YCDSB students in some of the 62 Tim Horton’s locations in Richmond Hill and Vaughan, decorating Smile Cookies to help this fundraising campaign. If you see them, please give them a smile.

Below are photos from a Smile Cookie kick-off at the Tim Horton’s location at Islington Ave. and Napa Valley Ave., featuring Vaughan Area 2 Trustee Michaela Barbieri, Superintendent of Education Tim Laliberte, St. Stephen CES Principal Casey Cabral, as well as St. Stephen CES students and families.
