At the October 30, 2023 Regular YCDSB Board Meeting, the final report for the St. Cecilia Secondary Boundary Review was presented to the Board of Trustees. A link to the Board Agenda found here, the report starts on page 34 of the agenda..
At the meeting, the Board of Trustees passed a motion to reestablish the dual feeder boundary for the St. Cecilia attendance area. This means that students who live within the St. Cecilia CES attendance area will continue to have the option to attend St. Elizabeth CHS and St. Joan of Arc CHS.
The Board of Trustees also approved the continuation of temporary busing to students from the St. Cecilia CES attendance area for those attending St. Joan of Arc CHS until such a time as York Region Transit service levels through the St. Cecilia community are improved and a broader secondary boundary review is complete. Student transportation will still be available to St. Elizabeth CHS for those who qualify who live in the St. Cecilia attendance area.
Updated secondary school boundary maps are included with this notice.
