Held annually on October 5th since 1994, World Teachers’ Day was founded by UNESCO in recognition of the significant contributions of teachers worldwide.

God of all knowledge and wisdom, Send your spirit down upon all teachers today as we celebrate the service they provide for our students and families.
Where affirmation is needed may they encounter words that praise their work and dedication.
Where encouragement is needed, may they encounter words that call them to recognize that living the vocation of teaching involves both gift and sacrifice.
Where appreciation can inspire, may teachers be surrounded by gratitude and celebration for all they do.
May your Spirit of Comfort rest upon all who teach, that they may rest in the comfort of your love.
