Aspiring Principal Discernment Series – Fall 2025

Current Elementary and Secondary Vice Principals interested in applying for a position as a Principal with the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) are reminded that one of the “Required Qualifications/Experience” is the completion of the YCDSB Aspiring Principal Discernment Series for Vice Principals prior to placement. 

This Aspiring Principal Discernment Series will be offered twice this year (Fall and Spring Sessions), pending hiring needs. The three-evening series will be offered face-to-face at the Catholic Education Centre. Attendance is required on all three evenings to complete the series.  

Interested candidates must register online for all three evenings by 8:00 am on October 3, 2025, using the Professional Learning Program (PL): https://ycdsb.pl.ca.powerschool.com. Please register for all three evenings. To log on to Professional Learning, users may enter their YCDSB email address and YCDSB computer logon password (not their email password). Please refer to Professional Learning: How to Register for a Section (Inservice) for more information.
