Close contact: If an individual has tested positive for COVID-19, members of their household must also self-isolate. Those household members would then be considered a close contact. Contact of a contact: Individuals who were potentially exposed to a positive case of COVID-19 must self-isolate, however, the members of their household are not required to self-isolate.
