Once again, the focused, fearless community from Our Lady of Fatima CES (OLF) in Woodbridge have demonstrated the power of Gospel Values in action.
This year, students and staff worked as a united force to defend, and ultimately surpass, their own Board record of $10,000 from last year, emerging from the 2019 Terry Fox Walk/Run with a powerful gift of $12,000 in support of cancer research.
Each September in communities across Canada and around the world, walkers, runners and rollers of all ages carry on the mission of Canada’s own Terry Fox, and his Marathon of Hope, launched on April 12, 1980. terryfox.org
For students and educators at all levels, the Terry Fox Story remains an important learning tool, providing an inroad to cancer education, and ideas on compassion and advocacy in care, treatment and research.
