Kindergarten Students at Work

Laura Salvo’s Kindergarten Class at Christ the King CES in Richmond Hill has been busy at work AND PLAY!

The Kindergarten students have been studying bears while learning remotely. They were encouraged to wonder about the world around them and were prompted to ask a variety of questions to deepen their understanding of the many wonders in our natural world. They recently participated in a Bear Den Building Challenge and have enjoyed engaging in creative, purposeful play!  Below is a short slideshow of the students’ wonderful creations of “a bed for a bear.”

Amazing work students and Ms. Salvo! Most people can not even begin to imagine what a remote learning Kindergarten class looks like, but Ms. Salvo has found a way to keep some of our youngest students connected and foster their love of learning from home!  Very, well done!

Parents and guardians can register online for the York Catholic District School Board’s Kindergarten classes starting in September. Learn more about Kindergarten registration.
