Emanuel Piccininni, Cardinal Carter Catholic High School student, is one of 100 students from across Canada to be named a Schulich Leadership Scholar. Emanuel was awarded the Schulich Leadership Scholarship worth $100,000 for demonstrating academic excellence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). This also makes him the first Cardinal Carter student to receive the prestigious scholarship.
Schulich Leadership Scholarships Canada presents entrance scholarships to top students across Canada enrolling in a STEM undergraduate program, to encourage Canada’s “best and brightest students to become the next generation of entrepreneurial-minded, technology innovators.”
“I am excited to join the network of past and present Schulich Leaders. It’s an opportunity to learn and collaborate with like-minded individuals who share similar goals. I would like to contribute to the innovation of positive changes in the future. Throughout my years of education, from St. Mary’s Catholic Elementary School to Cardinal Carter, I have been blessed with support and encouragement from my teachers. I look forward to continuing my journey at Queen’s University,” said Emanuel. He will study engineering at Queen’s University in September.
